After clicking OK, tried to send a file over the LAN network. Transfer speed started very slow, but it was gradually picking up speed. Decided to restart the computer and try to send that file again and this time it worked like a charm. Now that sending of files worked as it should, also checked speed for receiving files. If your wireless network is running 802.11a, b, g, or N and the wired network in 1gbps, your wired network should be faster than a wireless network, unless something is wrong with the wired device (switch) or the cable. If you connected it to your laptop and it worked then maybe it is your router, where your router is located or a WiFi configuration like you said. Or maybe it is the wireless adapter in the laptop, that's another option.
